Katie lives in London with her husband and three year old daughter. She was born in Yorkshire, raised in Lincolnshire and has spent her adult life living in the London suburbs.
Writing has always been a part of her life She started writing poetry from the age of fifteen and worked on a collection 'Mythologies' as part of her English University degree.
Katie started writing 'The Knight Trilogy' in 2008. 'The Forest of Adventures' is her debut novel.
Education:
Katie went to school at Sir John Nelthorpe in Brigg, Nth Lincs and stayed on to attend the attached Brigg Sixth Form College, leaving in 1998 with 4 A-levels and an AS (Art, English Literature, Geography, General Studies, Biology.)
From 1998-2001 Katie attended St.Mary's University, Strawberry Hill where she majored in English Literature and minored in Geography.
After completing her degree course, Katie enrolled at Cheltenham College to complete a post graduate degree in Teaching English & Drama.
In 2006, Katie returned to University at Kingston University to do a Masters degree in Twentieth Centuary Literature.

2011
Katie's short story 'The Venus Club' won the @indiehorror award in their Spring Writing Contest and published as a short story e-book by Little Bird Publishing House.
Katie's poem 'The Sound of Us' was accepted for publication in 'Inspiration Speaks' an art book published by Wintergoose Publishing House CA.
Katie independently published two short stories, 'The Ice Princess' and 'The Emergence of Julia Gray' on smashwords.
#2 of The Knight Trilogy 'Immortal Beloved' will be published by Little Bird Publishing House on August 25th 2011
